LMN Jewelry Designs began a few years ago and is quickly making a name for itself. Made up of two artists, Lisa and Niki, who each bring a distinct style and enthusiasm to their jewelry designs. LMN is passionate about its unique designs, craftsmanship and its customers.

Currently, both artists work out of their homes in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. They strive to keep things fresh and learn new techniques to add to their repertoire of knowledge and to display their distinctive jewelry designs at local fine art shows.

 

“I studied art and design in college but put work aside to raise my family. As my children grew older, I found I missed creative work and started making beaded jewelry. Soon, I became fascinated with other jewelry styles and techniques. This past year, I went back to school to learn metal clay fabrication and traditional metal smith techniques. My jewelry designs reflect this artistic and technical exploration.”

 

“Jewelry making began as a fun hobby for me and has now become a passion. The enjoyment I get from creating a piece is very fulfilling as well as relaxing. I have become focused on using wire in my designs, especially wrapping cabochon, chain making and weaving techniques.

Each year I try to learn a new technique. This year it was the viking knit. It is a weave using fine gauge wire and a wooden dowel. They are truly a stunning piece when complete.”
